hi all! a newbie here! ive just bought a supraphonic 400 snare and i think its a bit unusual,its deff alloy but pre serial number,any ideas about its age?

If it's aluminum alloy, and it's pre-serial, it's from around 1963.

I'm guessing it's a 1970 B/O badge drum with no serial numbers. Early B/O badged drums had blank spaces where the serial numbers eventually got stamped on later drums.
The drum should have a gray round felt muffler with a rotary knob -IF I am correct about my guess.
If the drum has a keystone badge, then it's something else. I am referring to the parallelogram-shaped badge with the block Ludwig logo and the blue and olive green painted areas.

hi all! thanks for your replies, its got a keystone badge and bb muffler in red and the worst chrome ever seen,just treated it to a novel refinishing idea!
