Do you think this would work as a bass drum in a bop configuration, or is the 12 inch depth too shallow?

I think the 12" depth would be fine. I have two 17's that are used for this purpose. Both are 12" x 17". They are very responsive and plenty of volume.

Guys, I STILL have this and waiting for someone to bite. Packed and ready to ship. I recently sent a 14x10 marching snare from southeastern PA to central Kansas, USPS. It was about $49 to help you guess a shipping cost. Make a fair offer or my next step is to part it out. It's gotta go. d.
