Hi folks,

I'm doing a 15"X12" Club Date floor tom restoration and need some detailed input before drilling. Need to know the exact position of the badge, legs and muffler.

Some good pictures would be welcome.

Thanks

Stef

The badge will be cantered between the two front lugs which are centered between the two front leg brackets. You can pick which is the front really.

Forgive my ignorance.....but if this is a "restoration" why would you need to re-drill for the badge vent hole and the leg brackets? Hmmmm

Wouldn't those holes already be there?

Thanks,

here's the deal,…

I'm doing a challenging Club Date resto,..

http://www.vintagedrumforum.com/showthread.php?t=30307&highlight=club+date

I was missing a floor tom and got one cheap from Ebay. It was a KB no serial and had its original blue sparkle wrap. (no pictures, sorry)

It was a 15"X12" but had its issues. It wasn't a marching snare conversion because it didn't have the holes from the snare mechanism. The leg bracket are not the typical spring types but the conventional Ludwig ones and the holes were very badly drilled, one of them even completely out so the leg didn't stand straight. The badge wasn't positioned in the centre but about 4 inches from top edge under the muffler.

The guy I bought it from said it used to be a hanging tom and was converted to a floor tom… no idea ??????

I've uploaded some pictures of the ready to wrap shell.

Anyway,… some nice pictures of a "real" 15" Club Date floor tom would be highly appreciated.

on the marchers ive seen, the badge is up top by the muffler. on the true floor toms, the badge is dead center on the 12x15's in most cases.
