whats with the run on 1400 series flat base with tags so pricy now? last year they were dirt cheap and the early hi hat too with rubber cup...

the early 1121 hi hats stands are usually pretty affordable. the 1123 with rubber cup is usually pretty pricey.

1400's seem to go up and down big time. they were at 80-100 each a couple years ago. then they dropped to almost half of that for a while.

I bought a really nice 1400 the other night at Music Go Round for $30 but they have been selling for $75+ (usually +) on ebay the past few years.

Calling them "Ringo" stands seems to enhance the bidding to a degree.

I haven't seen any "dirt cheap" 1123 hi-hat stands (not 1123-1) in the past ten years but would be happy to buy any cheap ones you come across. The 1121 still can be picked up relatively reasonably and no one should pay more than $40 for an 1123-1.
