From Mike T

True but then again you don't have to do anything to it and it is original with original hardware so really is a better deal then spending 500.00 on a kit you then have to rewrap buy hardware ,heads, etc and after all that it is still only worth 500.00 sorry i have to disagree money well spent it a heap better than money thrown in a hole.

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Well, thanks for the comment

...but as Kevin said...I wasn't talking about a kit you have to repair and rewrap.

$500 can pretty easily get you a Slingy with the same shells and wrap in much, much better shape than these chrome numbers here; particularly a sparkle or a gloss finish. Remember, it's only 3 pcs. It wouldn't take long to find a 3-pc vintage American kit for about 5 bills which would need nothing but some dusting/cleaning.

Trust me...those chromies can't fetch $450...they are just not very desirable....

Cool, thanks for all of the input everyone. I think I've decided to hold out for something a little nicer and see if anything comes up...I agree that the wrap is not a very desirable one for me.

Hey those red sparkle Ludwigs that just showed on Craigslist in Seattle look interesting... maybe have a look at them to decide if you want to make an offer in your range and see what happens??

Rogers in Auburn WA... http://cgi.ebay.com/Rogers-gold-sparkle-5-piece-drumset-12-13-16-22-5x14_W0QQitemZ190346572327QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2c518a3227
