Looking for more information

I got this out of a friends junk pile when he was moving. I haven't decided if restoring costs would outweigh value. I like the tube lugs and the look it just needs a little tlc. I've searched around and have only found a few pics of snares like this one. If anyone has any more information about it, I would greatly appreciate it.

10 lug 14 X 5.5 Mahogony i think Maple Reinforcement. Other than the bad paint job and missing plating, and missing extension lever it seem in very good condition.

I've made a post about this in the resoration section also.

Would it be safe to use a regular paint stripper?

Yes, a regular paint stripper will work fine 0nce all the hardware's off - make sure to follow directions & use a mask, gloves, & ventilation.

Plug the holes or the chemicals will leak oto the inside of the shell and discolor it.
