Hi, I have a chance to buy this snare. No name tag, but does say made in Japan on the throw off. From what I could see of the inside it has reinforcement rings. I'm wondering what the year might be, I'm not familiar with the throw off.

I put one of these back together for a friend recently. The strainer had fallen apart and the muffler had fallen into the drum. They have the old sticksaver knockoff hoops , so that puts them back into the 60's. The one I fixed had a Decca badge, whatever that means.

I guess it's possibly another Star clone. I like the rims, the throw off needs some work on this one as well, its all there but doesn't travel much to loosen the wires.
