Important update -
I was recording the sound of the cymbal, and I caught site of a faded red stamp on the face that reads "Concert B". Not sure how I missed this before - I must have been at the right angle to find it just now.
Thoughts?
Interesting: http://www.paiste-only.com/paistewiki/index.php5?title=Formula_602#Formula_602_Concert_Cymbals
That link shows Formula 602 Concert cymbals as pairs. Do I have the "B" and not the "A", or do you think A and B were different models?
Further reading - the center hole is larger than others - now I understand the question from above. It was probably a hand held cymbal in it's previous life...
Had you mentioned the rubber protector, I could have told you it was a concert cymbal, but as i originally stated that it was a medium crash cymbal all 12 of my 602's are the same period as this one you have shown us i weight all my cymbals also, and the weight you gave was between some of my 18" mediums and my 20" mediums, this cymbal originally had a black logo on it also, good luck with it.
Nice cymbal. I have one that is very similar. Mine has rivets. So we will being seeing up on ebay now?
vintagemore - thanks. It's nice to have a clearer picture of what this is/was...
What I don't know - is this single of a pair desirable? I can't seem to find much in the way of recent sales. I am surprised that it had a black label - I see no trace of it, but take your word for it.
Jimmy - perhaps. While I have more info now, I am more confused as to the value. I suppose if I found the owner of a matching 'A', they'd be interested in this one!
Any other thoughts?

I don't mean to be a party pooper but, honestly, 250 seems WAY high for a concert cymbal, especially in this market.
No problem - I want to be fair if it's going to auction...
kevins - very cool! A quick polish on mine and we'd have twins! Is it marked 'A'?
when your cymbals where made, the a and the b cymbals where mated as they did with the hi hat cymbals, chances of finding the mate are slim to none, but it really is just considered a drum set cymbal
