Looking for help Last viewed: 2 hours ago

I have just found this site while looking for info on a piece of equipment I have. I was wondering if any one had ever seen a boombass stick and where I could find any more out about it. A friend of my mother gave it to me a while ago and she told me her husband had played it in a street band while he was in college. They are both long dead and I have not had any luck so far. The original company was in Cleveland Ohio and was call the BoomBass Company. It was a little beat up when I got it and I had to flatten out the cybals on top to get them to work. There is a place for a string but I think part of the pieces are missing.

If you remember anything from Mary Poppins there was a cartoon band and one of the players had one. That is the only reference I have found so far and would appriciate any help, Thanks!

This is crazy!

I just scanned an article from a 1947 Coronet magazine form the collection of William Ludwig II and what do I read in the first page of text, second column second paragraph.

They mention a Boom Bass!

Crazy man, crazy...
