I have a friend of my daughters that is a pretty good little drummer, well her family came up with this kit out of an uncles attic and I'm trying to help her find some info on it, any help out there? The badge looks to read "Prestige" but my eyes may be crossed.

I'm going to pipe in and say MIJ, built by Hoshino with the springless "sharktooth"lugs, Luan construction. Many of us started on the road to drumdom with a set like these...

I agree. Nice little MIJ kit that will be perfect for a beginning drummer. New heads, replace the missing rims / parts and repair what needs it, some Windex and floor wax... perfect kit.

I agree that it's MIJ all the way, although the badge doesn't match any reference I've seen or have for that "brand". Still, I'd imagine that you can make them sound great in any event. I also started out with a luan set many years ago - I had no idea what it was, and eventually they got left out in the rain. I kept the hardware though, it's all still in my spares.

Yea, I figured MIJ, just wasn't sure who. They look like they're all there with just a couple missing pieces, that will be the "Hunt" fun part. Thanks for the help! Happy Hunting!

I believe prestige is early pearl...

I had an orange sparkle kit very similar to that

It was in fact phillipine mahogany..or luan if you will..

Nice little kit and any kid would love to beat on them

The "good little drummer" may be surprised how cool these drums will be when cleaned and set up.
