Looking for 1939 Ajax drum catalogue

Loading...

Hello all,

I am currently doing research for my DMA project, and am searching for a copy of the 1939 Ajax (Boosey & Hawkes) percussion catalogue. Specifically, I'm looking for scans of the pages having to do with their line of vibraphones; if some reports are to be believed, this catalogue may contain images of the first-ever 4-octave vibraphone. If you have a copy, or know someone who does, I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know!

Yo, check drumarchive.com, if not found there, you might consider sending Sir Alan Buckley in the UK, just Google his name, he has some catalogs on CDs. I don't think Ajax had the first 4 octave? I think that honour went to Besson with its Teddy Brown inspired xylophone.
