Won it on goodwill.A snare that i needed to complete a Tama RoyleStar set.I have been looking for one like this for 5 years..This is a rare snare to fine check the lud's the Camco rounded type.That Tama made for a few years....Mikey

I got the drum today. Iam very happy with in it was missing the muffler but the rod for it came with the drum.I will be taking photos of the drum before and after and post them over the week end.The shell is C.O.S. the drum comes in at just about 12 pounds.....Mikey

WOW! Cool deal Mike! I see that drum comes with a control you can dial it in with... HA HA HA... Okay, smart a$$ aside, I just learned something. If you remember, I had the Royal Star snare, it's kinda mate, in COS with the thinner shark tooth type snare lugs. These lugs are a match for the early CB-700 lugs, which I now assume was another transition of Star - Tama. Those early CB-700 drums were not bad at all considering they were made as entry level kits in the 70's. I've fixed a couple up, and have another in the works... nice wood in those things.

If that snare sounds ANYTHING like the Royal Star snare I had, you are gonna be one happy fella!

The photos of the snare.All i did to it was replaced the muffler put a bottom head and wires on it.Total cost of the drum wa 50.78..I have the Tama Royalstar set 12,13,16,22 with the round Camco type of lugs the set was 80.00.The set is a red stain inside and outside of shells.The shells have no rings...I will post the set when i clean ot up later..Mikey
