Little help on this Slingerland Shell...

Ok.. this one has me a bit stumped. I can't tell if someone drilled extra holes or if that was just how the strainer was.

She's a 14 x 5... as you can see the edges are rounded over. 8 lugger for sure...

What series is this from and what strainer fits on it?? I'd say chrome over brass but the inside doesn't look like any brass I've seen. Thanks in advance!

Looks like a COB Radio King...3 holes for the throw off and two for the last version bridges.

Was my thought as well.... the butt plate is two horizontal holes for sure. The 5 holes threw me for a loop on the strainer side though. I'm guessing the 2 uppermost might be for a key holder?? I've got a keyholder here but it's much too long for the holes on this drum.

Would the inside still have the dull coating on the COB? Almost looks like aluminum

The two vertical holes in the picture are for the tone control.

The shell is chrome over brass.

It might be pretty expensive to get all the parts to complete the drum...it might be more efficient buying a complete one.

Sorry... I meant that on the strainer side you've got 5 holes total... would 3 of them be for the strainer or all 5? I actually have had the shell for a bit and will probably put it up for sale here as I don't have time to complete it with my custom drum business but wanted to make sure I had the correct info. I've got an old 60's black diamond pearl that's my baby :D

David,

Beautiful line up there! Found a new home for this shell already. Listed it up on ebay and someone contacted me that happens to have all the hardware ready to go. Wish I had time to finish it and add it to my little collection but that's the breaks of starting your own business. Hey if I'm lucky maybe one of my snare drums will be on this page one day.

Thanks for taking the time to respond and run such an awesome site!
