My guess would be..$700/1500...++
Theres alot of veribles though...
Thanks RnS -
Was contacted @ MBP 3-piece in decent condition. My knowledge of gretsch drums/kits is nil. I'd be refurbishing to close to original condition w/out ANY mods, possibly keeping, possibly reselling. The idea is to buy low & sell high (I've bought & sold a bunch of vintage Ludwig/WFL/Yamaha - so know what to offer here).

RIMS n SKINS is right, too many variables.

3-ply vs. 6-ply

wrap color/condition

hardware condition/completeness

badges present (Round Badges can sell for $75-$100 each)

extra holes in the shells affect the collectors value
Pictures would help determine the condition and value. A 3-ply, Cadillac Green or Anniversary Sparkle kit is probably going to fetch more than a 6-ply Blue Sparkle kit.
If the shells don't have the Gretsch Silver Sealer paint on the inside and they are 3-ply, then they are 50's. But if the shells have the Silver Sealer, no paper tags and are either 3-ply or 6-ply (or combination), they could still be late 50's early 60's. Paper tags started around 1962-ish.
The 13/16/22 was one of two outfits, The Bop or the Name Band. Of course, kits could be ordered/upgraded in any configuration.
You said "possibly keeping, possibly reselling". Laughing H If the shells are 3-ply and once you hear them, I'm going to bet "keeping".
Good luck.

Thanks much Tim,
Seller's sure it's a 50's kit so that'd be 3-ply. All badges present, original condition. Not rare color, but very common MBP that appears in good condition (perhaps darkened???). I'm guessing its a Name Band kit.
Look, I'm not looking to rip the cat off. But, I also do not buy high as it would be nice to make at least 1k off of it after Novus-ing & simichroming everything. I'd also try to hunt down the appropriate Broadkaster snare, possibly stands, effed up parts.

Chris, unless you can get this kit for 300.00 or less you will not be flipping it to the tune of a 1k profit. Gretsch buyers are some of the most finicky buyers on the planet.
