This a quote out of rob cook's slingerland book>> around 1920 NOKES AND NIKOLAI merged with LIBERTY RAWHIDE MFG CO. of chicago. liberty originally produced only drum heads, but later began making banjos and drums. Mr. Nokes left the company a year after the merger, and went to work for C.G.CONN'S retail outlet in boston as their repair and drum corp expert, the company continued until 1928 when they sold their manufacturing equipment to the slingerland company, our own forum member mike curotto has a Liberty snare drum! for $100.00 yes buy it!! $100 for a concert bass drum? Sure!

$100 for a rare vintage concert bass drum in good condition? Even better!

The part you need is called a tension rod, also the bad side of large drums are the cost a lot to ship and this drum will be well over a $100.00++ to ship, and the box if you don't or can't find one is also costly, I doubt if anyone except mike curotto could give you an estimate on it??
