A real obscure one - hoping that the one or two of the Swedes who are on this site might be able to help. It's a 14" by (guessing here) 8" deep wood snare marked Levin - G?teborg (that's Gothenburg to we Anglos). It's covered in a fairly thin black covering split in several places (which is how I can see it's thin), it's missing the original snare and it's been re-drilled but - never seen anything quite like it.

I'd never heard of Levin before but can see via a quick Google search tghat they made everything from guitars and banjos to (I'm guessing here) drums and were eventually bought by the U.S. Martin guitar company in the seventies. But that is all I know. Any info on what they did and what this drum might be worth would be appreciated.

Cheers,

David
