I picked up some 65 Ludwig toms missing some parts for cheap last week. I'm looking for any of the parts listed below and need help on a couple things.

. 3 ludwig rubber feet

. 2 13 inch Ludwig rims

. 1 16 inch ludwig rims

. 12 tension rods for the 13 inch tom

. 16 tension rods for the 16 inch floor tom

. 1 wing nut for the leg mount

QUESTIONS

How should I clean the screws and washers to the lugs and secret way other than steel wool for 2 years?

What's the best way to close a the gap between a lifting seem and the shell?

How do I take out the scratches and the rash?

How should I clean the screws and washers to the lugs and secret way other than steel wool for 2 years?

Soak in a rust remover (CLR or the like) or something acidic (Soda, vinegar) for a while and then brush clean.

What's the best way to close a the gap between a lifting seem and the shell?

Glue and clamp.

How do I take out the scratches and the rash?

Plastic polish - Novus 1-2-3 system. I don't know of any others.

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

Okay thanks. I've done some restoration already like cleaning and waxing the shell and cleaning the lugs but haven't done anything else. I only have one before picture of the drum. Here it is.
