Blair;

I was in touch with Jim Petty on Friday about this very issue. He said the originals are 12-1/2. But the size I'm looking for appears to be 5/16th, not 1/8th. I've got a '63 BD.

Theories?

Yep 5/16ths for early 60s, and they are a bear to find.

That explains one thing. Petty sells them for $60 a pair.

Guess I deserve it. Lost mine somewhere in the second Nixon administration.

5/16" sure is close to 1/4".......

There were 2 sizes of Slinger spurs in the 60's..........

...................................................................................................

The first ones were quite small,and I don't think they were 5/16"..........

That's the same diameter as the Ludwig first curved spurs from the 70's.

.........................................................................................................

A standard microphone jack is 1/4",and they sure seemed smaller then that.

What is the diameter of the later 60's Slinger spurs then?

Also,I need the LENGTH more then anything.............

Thanks,Blair

3/8ths for the later spurs

5/16ths for the early.

And the later ones Will Not fit earlier mounts, so yes it is of some importance.
