There is in fact such a thing as left-handed drums.....drums set up "backwards" (if you like) to the "normal" way of setting up drums. They also make left-footed double bass pedals too, again for the lefty player. Are they more rare than the same kit in the safe configuration? Sure. Worth more? Probably not, most likely the same to slightly less than a right-handed kit.

I agree with MC & LD to a point, But, if a left handed player was looking for a true lefty set, and they are rare or hard to find, I would think the seller might be able to get a little more for them since they would be hard to come by.

I believe my Slingerland "66 Modern Solo kit has two left toms... the muffler adjustment is on the front of the right drum and the back of the left drum.

In the catalog view it shows mufflers knobs facing the drummer on both toms..

I have ask out here if anybody else has run across this..(no responses to that a year ago) or better even than that; happens to have a Green Satin Pearl Flame '66 Modern Solo kit with two right toms.. that could be the yin to my yang but so far no luck. :(

My Buddy kit has the badge in such a place that it would be hard for it to face the audience either way. I think some drums were just made the way they were. If this Tom was on a double Tom mount, the badge would show a bit better. I'm not convinced as of yet on the whole left handed badge thingy. I think they were put there for a particular setup and when placed out of context, the badge rotates away. Keep in mind there was more than one setup for say a 13 tom. On a two up it would look good. Put it on a one up and the badge spins out of view. If you look at the angles of the mounts, you can see this clearly. That's always been my thoughts on the subject. That does not factor in endorser requests.
