A very nice broadway standard,but as Dave stated $400.00 on the high side.
Especially for a 40's version. The 1939 and earlier drums had beautiful solid maple shells. By 1940, they were all three ply. At least it's not a duco finish.

Hey Blair.....Still kind of curious how you determined that Leedy put a halt to solid shell production in July 1939. Magazine ad? Company letter to drum shops? Inquiring minds want to know!

And I had a July,1939 8 by 14 Solid Maple at 1 time....and don't recall seeing a solid one with a date after that time period....

Maybe Harry Cangany would know. He seems to know more about Leedy than U.G. Leedy!
I have a 1941 WMP 8 x 14 Leedy Broadway, and it's three ply, so they had stopped with the solid shells by then. It's a fantastic drum though, and I play it quite a bit.
