Leedy question

Loading...

Hi, Are there any leedy experts here?

I want to know about the broadway snare drums. I bought a snare which is probably Broadway. The bagde is around 1930-1948 according to this website. http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/leedy_badges.html

It's 3 ply maple? shell with solid ring. and I know there are solid shell Broadway snare at that time. How did they divide? Different model name or anything?

Thanks Wayne!

Here are pics. I bought this on the eBay, and there were some troubles with a seller, but I think this drum is nice.

Is yours 1 ply shell? I'm wondering how different between 3ply and 1 ply. When I bought this I thought Brian Blade's leedy. I don't know his Broadway is 1 ply or 3ply but sounds amazing. He plays it back in the days with Joshua Redman and most of his early era I believe.

If you could, please post pics!

I had one, but 5x14.

It was single ply and sounded fantastic. The collector who sold it to me asked to buy it back. So i did...
