Leedy Parallel Last viewed: 54 seconds ago

Hi. Just closed a deal on a lovely 1937 Leedy parallel. Looks very original with calfskin heads and a heater installed. It'll be a nice companion to my 38 Leedy Broadway which I restored last year. I'll know more when it arrives but I'd be interested in anyone's view on this drum and whether the heater was a factory option or retro fit.

The heater wasn't factory. This was done by a previous owner.

Interesting. Thanks for that.

I have pictures of the 1939 version of the heater plug. It looks identical

to the one original to my Leedy circus drum.

Thanks Bill. By coincidence, I spent some of the past weekend polishing and cleaning the heater up before reinstalling it into the drum. Looks like new. I wondered if it still works but I'm too afraid to plug it in in case it goes 'boom'!
