I have a Leedy Ludwig concert king snare drum with a slingerland tone control. The placement is correct for a slingerland. The drum is in excellent shape and is all original.Do you think the tone control was factory installed during the transition from Leedy Ludwig to slingerland.

I doubt it. Slingerland didn't ever have the ludwig brand or name in anyway. Do the holes for the tone control look as if they have been enlarged?
Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Funny, I have a Full matching Leed & Ludwig kit with a Slingerland cymbal mount on the bass drum. Really professional job, but I doubt it was done in the factory. And by the way Leedy & Ludwig drums...one of the best vintage drums you will ever play. But you probablly have already realized this!
PS check out the pics on my website, listed in my signature. They are under the Vintage tab of my page. Enjoy.
