Leedy Ludwig Kit

Hi Folks... have just purchased this Leedy Ludwig kit... 1954? the lugs on bass drum perhaps would suggest earlier than 1954... I am a novice with Leedy Ludwig kits...Am living in New Zealand and [Attachment: 118531]

I have'nt come across Leedy Ludwig kits before .. only Ludwig .. hope you guys out there can shead a little light on placing year etc ... cheers Chris

What a beautiful kit. I am sure one of our Gurus can give some more insight into closer dating of the kit. I have a 1940's Leedy 6 1/2" x 14" Broadway Series - Red Sparkle that looks almost identical other than the badge. I would recommend popping off a head to see the date stamp on the inside. Here's a pic of one in a Leedy & Ludwig snare of mine
