Leedy Drums Shell Construction 1940's

Hi all, I have a Leedy set date stamped 48 inside the bass drum. Floor tom is a 50's tenor drum 12 x 15 with oval badge and mahogany interiors. The bass drum is 14 x 24 and the rack tom is 9 x 13. Both these drums have painted white interiors. Does anyone know what the wood is? It's difficult to know because it's painted.

Many thanks.

OK, I've cropped the image to make it smaller. Now hopefully it uploads. If not then I give up.

Thanks for the info. I was uploading from my phone and I don't have any any on my phone that allow me to resize images. I can crop them, that's about it. I'll remember in future, but more importantly I would like to know more about those Leedy shells. :)

Cheers.
