Leedy drum (1930's)

Loading...

Leedy tom: I’m in the process of restoring this 1930's drum and have looked all over and can’t seem to find a picture of what this drum looked like originally. The shell has no holes, so it’s got to be claws at both ends. I’m missing one 8.5” rod and the set of claws that slide over the rod. I have the other end claws that have threads on them. Does anyone have a picture and the parts I’m missing?

I wasn't able to upload the three pictures, so if you can help please email me at ron@psplus.com and I can email them to you. Thank you in advance.

I was able to save the pics as a smaller size, so here they are.

That looks like a field snare rather than a tom, since there are snare gates on one of the hoops, and a carrying strap ring on the other.

If you're making a Levon Helm-type drum set, that drum could work as a small tom.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
