Leedy Broadway Parallel Snare

Loading...

Hi Gents. Please excuse my absence. I might have a chance to buy this snare and was wondering what I should pay and what the shortcomings might be?

Looks like it needs a cleaning and I haven't been able to establish if this is the original finish. Are these anything to get excited about? I think it's 30's but not sure. Looking to replace a WFL that I sold and perhaps this will fit the bill.

Thanks in advance.

There are extra holes around the strainer...That will lower the value...

Cheers

Those aren't spare holes - they're screws that go into the the shell to hold the interior mechanism in place

it's also important to determine if its a single or 3-ply drum. Most drums with outer mahogany plies are 3-ply

Excellent point, thanks. The single ply will be more I'll assume. I was thinking 3-4 hundred but I've never owned an all original 30's Leedy. It could be more. It need some work. We'll see.
