Leedy & Ludwig Snare Drum I.D.

Hi,

I've got a Leedy & Ludwig Broadway New Era snare in BDP, almost identical to the drum in the pics I posted. However, on the New Era Model the lugs are "staggered", unlike those on the drum in my pics. Can anyone provide me with a model name and approximate date of production for this particular one? Thanks!

4x14 New Eras are staggered because of the depth limitations while the 5x14s are not and have the depth to not stagger the lugs...I think that's right.

I believe this drum is a "Standard."

The whole leedy/ludwig line only lasted a few years. 50-53 perhaps?

I've done some additional research and, for whatever reason, still can't find a pic of a 5x14 Leedy & Ludwig snare like this one in any catalog. Would anyone know why that might be? Also, I can't definitively identify what model this might be. Still looking for additional help if it's out there. THANKS!
