Hi Blair, looking at the photo I posted, it looks like chrome. I was mildly overwhelmed working on the toms. This was my first time working on Leedy&Ludwig drums

Bob - For those drums the NOVUS treatment will be enough. I was told by Jack Lawton that those blotches are caused by a combination of, the adhesive migrating through the wrap combined with exposure to light. Nothing you can do about it because it permeates the wrap, it's not just sitting up on the surface. Those old drums are beautiful just as they are. Good detailing session and you won't recognize them. Sweet kit.
