I've been working on these the past couple of days.

22/13/16 1956 or '57ish Slingerlands.

It's tough to catch with the camera, but it's the blue glitter wrap with a little aqua in it.

Fixed a little ring separation on the floor, and re-attached the wrap.

The wrap had shrunk, so there is a wide seam of exposed mahogany, but the wrap is just too pretty to disturb. It was just a shell, I installed hardware from my stash.....

The 13 inch tom shell is from my buddy Blairndrums... I installed the hardware.

Next project is the bass... just a cleanup really, I have all the parts. Might re-do the hoops.... maybe not.

At $925 is it worth it?

Agreed...especially a satin flame. Those tend to look awful in person (they scratched sooo easily)

$500 tops...maybe $550.

Yes, I haven't seen it in person, so sounds like its way over priced..

Back to the drums at hand, The floor and the tom look great. Can't wait to see the finished kit...

Kevins, did you treat the inside of the shells at all with liquid urethane or Tung oil?
