[COLOR="DarkRed"]Well...the pics didn't make it Hurting, but, just fyi...

replacement hoop = $30

original replacement vintage claws = $4-5 ea.

orig. replacement vintage bass rods = $3 ea.

generic floor tom legs = $15 set

I don't quite understand the mount plate thing.

IF the set-o-matic ARM is included, but the mounting plates on the toms and bass are gone...it's no big problem, the plates can be had for about $10/ea.

If the entire ASSEMBLY is missing, including the set-o-matic arm....those arms are hella expensive...like $50-70 on eFlay....

So that's the investment you'd be looking at to bring it up to speed....

Hey, I've got a set of totally stripped shells just like those except they're 3 ply. Black wrap and everything. From what I've seen, even in this market with Slingeland being undervalued, you've got more than $150 worth of stuff there.

And, from the pictures, I'd estimate you have less than $150 to get it up and running. I've seen those mounting plates go for $20-$50 lately. You can get repro claws cheaper than old. If there's a cheap repro for the t-rods, I'd love to find them. That hoop could be expensive, or you could just get a new one

and not worry about it.

I'd pounce, but I also have two Slingerland projects working that I need parts for.

thanx Rob. So if I bought these for $150 and sunk maybe $150 into the plate, legs, a front hoop and new heads, with some elbow grease to shine up those lugs and such... how much would you guess they'd go for on eBay or one of these forums?

(btw, it has claws.. there are two pair BD claws on these).

As for current market, that's a toughie. I don't think you'd be looking at a huge return right now as the market is in the pits and Slingerland especially seems undervalued. I'd say this, if you're looking to flip 'em right now, the only sure way you're going to make big money on 'em would be to part them out. Of course, I hate to see people doing that, but if they didn't I wouldn't have parts I need for my kits, so it's a mixed blessing. As is, even all together, I think you could get more than $150 though.

Otherwise, if you're looking for a good player, maybe to turn around when the economy picks up a bit, then you'd be a bit safer with these.

Just my two cents. Someone else might have a different perspective.
