L&L "Detroiter" Outfit w/Leedy Floor Tom

Loading...

Definitely "old school"!

This particular kit consists of a 14x24 Ludwig & Ludwig (Elkhart, IN) bass drum, 9x13 rack tom & 6 1/2 x 14 snare drum.

All the drums still have their original calfskin heads mounted.

A matching 16x14 Leedy floor tom was added to complete the kit.

The kit was catalogued as "The Detroiter Outfit" in the L&L catalog.

Since I was born and raised in Detroit I felt extremely fortunate to find this one. A little "elbow grease" helped get it in its current condition.

My bet is because Leedy had a similar kit in their catalog called the New Yorker.....
