Not bad. I was expecting much worse. If they are all faded anywhere cloe evenly it will still be a nice looking kit. Send more pics as you go. Let's see the least to worst faded side by side. Just curious.

The fading seem to be fairly even from drum to drum. The '69 added bass had a bulge at the bottom of the shell which I got under control with steam and pressure. It's still out of round so I am coaxing it back with light pressure. It's a virgin bass so it's worth getting in shape. I just want to be able to get a head on it. Had to glue the rering in a couple of spots as well. All a Labor of Love.

Beautiful kit and it should clean up really nice. What I have done to clean inside Luddies and not do damage is simple green followed by a little bleach & water on a sponge or rag. Test in small areas first or just leave the insides alone!

My kit had some stuff growing inside and remains of dead insects and so forth. I was careful to clean around the date stamps.

Hey guys thanks for the input and encouragement. The painted white inside shells have a pretty good amount of scuffing and paint loss. I did use Simple Green to clean them up. I am resisting the temptation to repaint. The date stamps are still legible. I think I will just leave the inside of the shells as is.
