Krupa Radio King 50s

Loading...

Slingerland Radio King "Gene Krupa" 5.5" x 14" snare from the 50s with extended snarewires and COB sticksavers. It has a solid 1-ply maple shell with maple reinforcement rings.

The Black Diamond Pearl finish is original. The drumheads are Aquarian American Vintage and the snarewires are Puresound Slingerland Vintage extended with metal straps for the 3-point strainer solution.

The badge is the "Black and Brass" Chicago badge (1956-59) with the swirly "S".

The sound is very distinct and responsive.

Enjoy,

Fred

Yes, the people working with the finishes in the Slingerland Company in those days were really artists!

Thanks for watching,

Thanks for watching. Yes, and if Chico Marx would still be alive and see this wrap, he would probably say:

"That's a good!" :D
