Kit identification

This is a picture of me at a drum recital circa 1970 behind my teachers Ludwig kit-I am trying to find out what this kit is first of all, and then second of all, what kind of snare would have come with this kit-would it have been a matching wooden snare or would it have been a supraphonic? I know in later years he told me he had Joe McSweeney of the Eames drum company make him a matching 12 ply snare to the kit. I asked him the other day (he is in his 90s) what happened to the original snare and he couldn't remember.....thanks for the assist......the floor tom is a 14.......I started taking lessons from him in 1967 and the kit was there then.

Looks like a thermogloss. Downbeat is 20,12,14. Super Classic would be 22,13,16. Snare would of been a Supra likely.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I'll venture a guess and say, that if it still looks like that, then it's in great shape,

and i'd guesstimate it at between $1400-1800. But other forum members who know

more about a downbeat's value, could say different.

cheers,

Rob

A thermogloss set is way harder to find than a say: Blue, Gold, Red sparkle set. I think a set like that should go for at least 2 grands. (if in good shape, though)
