I've been contacted by an ebay seller in Australia, selling this snare drum:
This is quite a rare drum, belonging to the Star family.
Would be a nice restauration project, as there must some works be done to bring it back to life. If I wouldn't live on the exact other side of this planet I'd surely jump on this baby.

Hey Ralf, the Star set I picked up had all original "Kings Stone" heads, all pretty much trashed except for this beautiful virgin 13" hiding on the bottom. Brought it up to the top where it will stay. Rich.

Well, I missed the final bidding, so this one got away.. hopefully another member here picked it up.. well within what I would have paid.. focus here is on Bushfires at present, Sydney is under siege with the worst fires for decades.. more than 240 homes gone and more than 100 damaged and I have 3 family groups with homes under threat...

That's a neat looking snare drum. What's the story? It looks like Slingerland hardware style on it?
