That's all it says on the badge and heads. No origin, nothing else. Its not the same badge as what we have here on the site, and the shells are not luaan, rather poplar I believe. Hardware is cheap so im guessing MIT IN THE 80,S. Anyone seen this "brand" before? Sorry cant get pics to work here.
Kings drums
Kings is one of the german TROMSA brands.
Cheers,
George.
Thx George...can you point me to where it says Kings either on a shell or a head plz. I cant find anything in print anywhere. Badge says Kings..and that's it. No made in...etc,etc.Thx a lot for your help.
I did a little snooping and found a little info. These are pretty cool drums, not great but very playable because they are so darn light. Easy to carry around, toss in the back seat for a pool party, etc, and they are nice poplar shells...not bad for 40 bucks!
Hi Wayne,
I'm so sad that during a long time we not see any new messages from your countryman Phil 'Calfskin' who have an indeed outstanding knowledge with german drums.
As for the different drums Tromsa I suppose that most of all the types were made from european beech.
Moreover, at Sonor bad times Tromsa had made a beech shells for him.
You can find a lot not bad info about Tromsa here at VDF pages and earlier from Ekkehard Pfau, but now his great site 'arcor.de' not answeres and looks as yellow deutsche news......
Cheers,
George.
