Kimberly drums

Loading...

Hello Japanese drum guys

I have these Kimberly drums headed my way from steel town

The wraps are pretty scratched and scuffed missing all the reso side heads and hardware

The badges remain on only the bass and the floor tom

The mounted tom is hurting the most with heavy rash and a missing re-ring the snare has a non original throw

My seller wanted 250.00 shipped but we settled on 200.00 shipped

I had never seen any Kimberly badges before and I liked the color

so they are on the way

Aint that Mindy and Beverly's sister/cousin? Yeah - and she was married to Jason, or maybe that was Stewart she was with?? You remember Stewart, right? He used to run around with Lyle and Black Jack whistlin' Dixie in that Tempest all over Boston!

WOW - those are quite the eye candy, and will sound amazing once you are done with them! What a great find!

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

I was looking at these on the pittsburgh cl. At the time he wanted 250 local for them. Cool finish. I would of snagged em for 150 but he didn't want to budge too much from the 250 range at the time. Mij don't show up to often on the Pgh cl. I snagged a Dixie set off cl with a 18 inch bd about a month ago but that and these Kimberlys are the rarest I've seen in years close to home .. Enjoy them !

Hello jmpercussion85 Thanks very much for the reply

Yes The seller was dug in at 250.00 pretty firm

I asked for him to provide some good pics

of all the worst points about the kit

so I would not have any surprises or major disapointments

which I would love to share here on this thread but they came in the form of bitmaps rather .jpegs

along with the pics and with no prompting from me the seller lowered his price to 225.00 shipped

The pics were so detailed that they showed several problems

involving every drum in one way or another

again I was looking at A. the odd color and B. the Kimberly badges which I had never seen or heard about before

Still in the condition they were in and missing the resonant sides

Had they been a more common color like red sparkle or blue sparkle

I would have had zero interest

As it was I felt 200.00 even shipped was paying up for them plenty

The seller was a good guy and a drum guy like most of us

and so he agreed at the two bills ..I did just get an e-mail from him that the drums went out and should arrive here tomorrow

Less the cymbal arm that he was "looking for" turned out he had sold the arm he was thinking of with a Yamaha kit some time ago

Anyway as to his being firm at 250.00 that may have been much earlier in the proceedings as by the time I came along the seller had been holding the kit for a while most likely due to the condition

Sometimes when a kit even with a cool color

is a little beat up like these

a little holding time is a good tenderizer price wise
