Killer ludwigs on shopgoodwill.com Last viewed: 1 day ago

From backbeatkeeper

Evidently somebody doesn't want any person buying them for resale. There is a slew of ads on local CL in So. Cal. saying the following:"Chance to get a great drumset while supporting a great cause instead of a parasitic bloodsucking "vintage dealer". Go to shopgoodwill.com and type in Ludwig."I guess some people don't like it when others buy and sell. Sounds to me like they have too much time on their hands......

My sisiter and two neices live in orange county. they showed this to me on CL I told them it was a troll bemoaning others in a broad way. That this same poster of the ad is a vintage flipper himself.

Help2

How could anyone complain and snivel about helping out a charity and getting a nice kit at the same time?? Spread the love not the ugly!!!

I really think partly guys want other guys to get deals when or if they can't get the deals themselves. But deep down most probably would rather have all the sweet deals but obviously one can't have every sweet deal available so the 'spread the love' phrase gets tossed around a lot :)

As far as buying gear just to resell it, this is how I've been buying my gear the last 5 years.

I've been telling my wife I'm buying the stuff to sell it, but most of it I've not been selling! Selling cymbals from entire drum kit deals to pay for the shell pack and simply breaking even, I'm not a CL drum flipper by any means! :)

I LOVE sgw.com, scored 2 super sweet once in a lifetime deals within the last 6 months and currently there is some pretty sweet vintage snare drums still available as I type this.

Even with most of us knowing about sgw.com, the end listing prices are still below ebay sold listings or what you might be on CL for the same gear.

I did sell one Acrolite from sgw, I was dumb and didn't realize I was getting a 80's grey powder coated shell, otherwise I would have kept that snare as I don't have a Acrolite...

Found it!!

I wished this great charity would have changed the vintage date to not vintage as this was clearly a reissue kit. They Goodwill had numerous emais informing of the mistake, not from me. I have no skin in the game. But it went for a good price $1501.00.

Goodwill is not a charity, they never were, but they use to help the less fortunate, they ****ed off a ton of families and lost a lot of good employees here in San Antonio after closing the doors on the mentally challenged. Like I said, when the new ceo took over, he turned it into a money making machine and they pay him handsomely.
