Yep, that Oyster kit is definitely cool.

Interesting that both sets have center lug toms. Did they come from the factory that way?

I have yet to come across a Kent kit in person that didn't have warped

bass drum hoops. But that's some serious warpage on the Oyster set.

Edit:

I just noticed that there are no badges on the Oyster kit. Is that a factory finish or a rewrap?

Yeah that is probably from the factory as they were a small operation who sold a TON of drums so they sent sets out like that to keep up with production , i.e they sent what they had as a lot of companies did similar things to keep up . Also if you had a center lug 22,13,16 set the FT would have double lugs as they did not make a center lug 16 for some reason .

The hoops are pretty hard to find not warped though I have a few . They were hard maple hoops so you would not expect that they would warp so easy .

My Kent kit is still available. I bought a Kent tom mount and a non matching bass drum leg from Blair-n-Drums, made a 3rd floor tom leg just to be able to set them up. I'd take $250 for them and drive to Dover, Queenstown, or Exmore,Va. to meet for a pickup. That covers Philly, DC/Balt, and Norfolk area.

Takers???

PM me if interested
