During a recent clearout, while prepping some stuff for ebay, I came across these gems. I though I'd post here first to see what interest or information I might garner and also because I imagine that these don't appear too often in a completely unused state.
Unused vintage K Zildjian Istanbul 18 inch heavy symphony crash/ride cymbal in original packaging. Weight: 1900g. Hand signed under bell. Perfect condition, other than a few finger marks.
Unused vintage pair of 15 inch medium K Zildjian hi-hats made in Istanbul in the mid 1970's, in their original packaging. Apart from a few finger marks they are in mint condition. Each cymbal is hand-signed under the bell.
All are stamped:
K. ZILDJIAN & CO.
ISTANBUL
THE ONLY AUTHENTIC
AND ORIGINAL TURKISH CYMBAL
Unfortunately, The company's record-keeping was notoriously slack, with no serial numbers or date-stamping of any sort. Only close study of the variations in the composition of the identification stamps has yielded clues as to the age of original Turkish K's.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of Bill Hartrick in researching this timeline, these cymbals can confidently be attributed to the 1972-77 period.
I bought them in 1980 from Tony Wallis, who had worked for the company as their European sales rep for many years.
I appreciate that these may not appear in this condition very often but would anyone have any idea as to the value of these?
I'm guessing that we have the date as accurate as we'll get but any tips or info appreciated too.
Just in the process of getting together a bunch of photos so will post if requested.

Any help appreciated. I'd hate to see them go too cheaply or worse still, to someone who wouldn't appreciate them.
Cheers
