k zildjian istanbul crash 18''

Hello!

I got my uncles old drumset and found this beautiful cymbal.

I found on internet that the stamp is from 1945-1950.

The cymbal weights 1476 gram and is in good condition.

Is it a fake one or is it real?

And what would it be worth?

I hope you can help me.

Thanks in advance,

Teun

Its not fake. It looks like a Type IIa old stamp from the late '40s. 18" crash /rides are not as wanted as bigger cymbals, especially 22". I would guess between $700 to $900 maximum. $800+ sound like a good number.

That's a well used K!

One of the BEST OS K's I EVER heard was a 18" Crash/Ride!

Yeah. I'm guessing a 16" would be between $495-$600 tops.

..and it went from fashionably light 18" (1476g) to more of a medium for an 16" at the same 1476g. That affects the likely price range as well. Thin is in.

I would expect a "fashionably" good 16" to weigh less than 1300g.
