K Zildjian - Constantinople

Loading...

I never see much mentioned about K Zildjian's stamped Constantinople rather than Istanbul. Super rare or just not much interest?

I have a 11'' (ish) paired with a Super Zyn as hats.. very light, I think you could invert them with your hands if you wanted to... left them in a box for a few years before I got around to buying a small hole clutch.. sort of forgot about them. Never been able to get a photo of the stamp.. just doesn't show up in the picture.. any tips to get a recognisable photo?

Still have the signature underneath (and looks like evry Zildjian signature I've ever seen... whoever signs those cymbals must be 100 years old by now!

Would appreciate any estimates of age (given the scant detail I give.. might be hard). When I play them it just sounds like 1930...

Cheers

How about a photo of the cymbal and a close up of the stamp?

I've tried and tried to get a photo of the stamp.. Tried a few different cameras, different lighting and even dusted the stamp with flour to try and get some contrast so it would show up.. and ... nothing.

Plainly visibile to the naked eye.. so either;

a) I'm a cr** photographer

b) my camera is not much chop

c) the stamp indentation is too light

d) all of the above.

e) I'm dreaming (tell me it's not so)

Like I said in the post.. any tips to get a better (usable) photo would be appreciated.. I'm might resort to a pencil rubbing?

But I'll post a pic of the cymbal anyway

Thanks
