From geckobeats

If thats the case is it a case of some worn washers? I just want to know what Im getting into before I go ahead and start the operation.Thanks.Oh and @DownTownFarmer the kit is gorgeous. Stylistically looking at it in the flesh I would say futuristic and up with today's modern drums, if you know what I mean. Considering she's 20-25 years old, the fittings look like they were designed today. I received an inheritance back in 92 and invested heavily into a brand new kit as part of my journey into being a pro. Stupidly I bought a double bass drum Premier kit. I bought Cheaper so I could buy bigger. It didn't take me long to realise the mistake I made. I think this is more like the kit I should of bought that day. Smaller and more expensive, but this should of been the move.

Almost,...There are two different sizes of the prism and not interchangeable. The one for the double tom stand is not the same gage and there are tapered parts too. If you try to interchange parts, you end up with loose hardware. Check that first, I`ll look at mine , I have both if you need.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Also, the finish on those is that of very fine furniture, you can get colored wax stix to help hide the scratches. Treat it like that if you choose to keep them original.

Cool kit! I bet it sounds fantastic. I have the matching snare, I believe. I think this is what Sonor called Red Maple, correct?

I bought this drum from Paul Quinn, drummer for the Soup Dragons and Teenage Fanclub for a few years. I'm a big fan of Teenage Fanclub's music and when he made the drum available I had to have it. All the way from Bellshill, Scotland to Clearwater, FL. The build quality of this drum is unmatched from anything else I own. Just holding it you can tell it's a premium drum.

Here's an interesting short snippet from one of my interactions with Paul about this Hilite snare:

"It's a drum that alot of people throughout my career wanted: Radiohead, Weezer, REM and every studio and producer i worked with, i kid you not it is a phenomenal drum with such a fantastic history."

Pretty cool seeing videos of him using the drum 20 years ago.
