Cool kit. Everyone should have a red sparkle in their arsenal.

You can get a 20" chrome metal hoop from Explorer's Percussion in Kansas City. They can install the red inlay for you as well.

Took them to rehearsal last night, sounded ok even with semi crappy old heads. Looking forward to fixing them up a little!

Those drums look like my brothers old Apollo set. his were blue sparkle. Same lugs, same tom holders with spades.

Nice score! Use some steel wool to clean up the chrome and they will look almost new. Looks like a 60's era Japanese Stencil kit, by now that Luan Mahogany should be fully dried out and hardened adding a lot more resonance to the drums now than they would have had when new. If you put some new modern heads on those drums they will sound like a $3000 kit.
