Round Badge generally indicates a 60's drum (badges can be switched but usually aren't). Not sure exactly when they changed to the stop sign badge but it's usually estimated to have been right around 1970. The company was sold to Baldwin in 1967 for sure, but the timeline after that is a bit murky as to when they moved production to Arkansas. The badge changeover was not necessarily directly related to that move but they did happen at around the same time.

Did that drum key come with the snare and if so, is it an original or a newer one?

I just looked at the auction with more pics. Looks like a good deal to me. The auction mentions the drum key being an original which is a nice bonus as originals are not cheap and that key looks like new. I had looked at this auction before and one thing that stuck out to me was it mentions the drum has single flanged hoops with clips which is not what are in the pictures so I wasn't sure what to think about that.

I'll be interested in if you plan on fixing the lifting wrap and how you would plan to go about doing it. Mine has the same issue plus the wrap is cracked by the round badge. It looks like yours has been spared the cracked wrap which is nice as probably 75% of the ones I had looked at had the wrap lifting at the seam and a crack somewhere.

I'm also interested to hear how your throw off works. With mine, you have to lift up on the arm slightly to allow the arm to go past vertical to engage the snares. It disengages fine. I need to take it apart to see what's going on.

The six Lug Dixieland model evolved a bit thru its 15 or so years of production. The early ones had single flange hoops with the clips (these hoops are almost always bent up from people trying to put high tension on a drum with six lugs). Around the mid-sixties they switched this model over to die-cast hoops like the rest of their snares. Definitely an upgrade. Odd that the auction pictures show the die-casts but the text mentions single flange. Perhaps they know nothing about drums and copied a description out of an older catalog. Another possibility would be that the pictures aren't of the drum being sold but then you'd probably have a good case with ebay to get all or some of your money back if need be.

Some of these have the key holder and some don't. Likewise the internal muffler was put on some but apparently wasn't universal to all the Dixielands.

I have 4 or 5 of these snares. all of mine now have the die cast hoops (all but one had them as original equipment, they can be tough to find as parts, particularly the snare side). The weak point of this drum is the Renown throw off. These haven't held up too well and are a bit of a pain to operate once they get some wear on them. I wish someone would come up with a modern equivalent using the same 4 point mounting pattern. You see a fair number of these snares sporting a Ludwig P-85 in place of the Renown, which would definitely be a functional improvement but, of course, negatively impacts the value of the drum.

Just got it and I'm pleasantly surprised - almost like it was in a time capsule except for the slight wrap lift. Looks all original right down to the t-rods and all match, just missing a few washers. Throw works fine and the rims are die cast.

It has 4339 stamped inside the 3 ply shell - not sure if that dates it to a specific year.

Tried to upload photos but failed asking for a "security token"? I emailed the site administrator about this so I'll post pics ASAP.

Heads are new and in great shape - what snares work best on this model?
