Just curious...what are these snares? Last viewed: 6 hours ago

These are currently posted on CL, and since I'm not a Ludwig guy, I was just curious as to which Ludwig snare uses these. I know they're not for a Super-Sensitive. Marching snare perhaps? Again, I'm just curious. I have no interest in buying anything that's not Rogers, so if any of you are looking for a set....

Looks like SuperSensitive wires to me, but I've only had one SS and could be wrong.

That's exactly what they are, I used to have a SS & sold them when I worked in a music store. Well, didn't sell many, but we had them in stock. In fact, i'm pretty sure those are pre-'68.

Thanks guys! The only Super Sensitive I ever played was back when I was in college, and I just assumed that they always had the individually adjustable snare wires. I figured that was the whole selling point of the SS. Didn't know you could buy a snare assembly with fixed wires.

Appreciate you Luddy experts chiming in.

Main selling point was that snares covered the entire head and were raised and lowered on both sides, as well as individually tunable snare wires.
