Those are nice Fishwaltz, and you even have the cymbal arm! Cool.

Hey Fayray,

Great job. Guess it breaks your heart to see both (friend and drumset) go ...

If your mate needs the tom arm to fix the second rack tom, he might get in contact with me once he is arrived in UK. I'm in Germany so it wouldn't be a barrier to send a parcel for a little money.

Thanks Ralf. I do have the mount (same as the other one) and I have a spare triangular one as well that came with another kit. Either way it'll have extra holes. Thanks for the offer though.

Yes, I will miss the kit a bit but I've never actually played it so I'm sure I'll get over it. I'll miss my buddy more though, but i guess it'll give me a further excuse to visit the UK.

Hello, Fayray!

My Stars from 1971 or, possibly '72, came with an Imperial Star foot pedal. I am positve of that and positive of the dates listed, as the original owner specified that he bought them new then. I use two 13 inch toms (originally there was only one) but they have the alternating lugs. I also use an original Star cocktail drum as a second floor tom.

I was recently lucky enough to obtain a set of Star bongos and purchase another chrome snare. My hardware is also original.

Your set is beautiful! jonnistix is right! Tuned, those drums will sing!

Hope this helps.

All the best!

Brian

Thanks Salty1322

I have kept the BD pedal as I like the old Tama hardware. The drums are now packed in a shipping container about to sail off to their new home. I'll pass on all this info to my buddy who I imagine will keep them forever.

When I set them up for the pics I did a quick tune of the toms and they sounded great.
