Congrats Jeff C
Nice find, it's hard to stop thinking about anything else once you get going.
There are a lot of nice restores and saves on This Forum.
Can't wait to see it finished.

jeff with your expertise as a cabinet guy i cant wait to see the final restoration ....
Jeff, the double bass drum spurs definitely look factory original.
The top hoop of the 12” is also not original.
The shell itself seems 6-ply to me.
I can’t figure out the hole pattern on the bass drum.
The holes don’t fit the triangle foot plate nor the rail consolette,... weird.

Yes, noticed a difference in the 12" hoop this morning as I was washing them. I will eventually get correct ones but for now I just hope to locate 10 lugs.
Im thinking that bass was virgin and had two different mounts in its life.
Thanks once again for your help.
Jeff that's a really interesting combo of cymbals thanks for the details. Do you have the original tom post? Somewhere either I or my Grandson has a Camco tom arm. The ball and socket style. I've seen it a few times but just can't remember where. I never knew what make it was until I joined here and discovered it was Camco. Hopefully it'll turn up.

Thans Glenn, no I do not have the post. If you find yours and it is the correct one would you be willing to sell it, or trade something?
Those cymbals are pretty neat. Im gonna get some cleaner and clean them up.

Sure thing Jeff. I'll look for it here and at my son's house and let you know.
I've alWAYs found it difficult to count plies from the edge. I use one of the holes in the drum to count as it takes the re-ring out of the equation.
The 99 Super is second generation so it's not an early 60's kit if the snare actually came with the kit.
I'm thinking you are correct about it being a virgin. The two other holes under the existing non-original plate may have been for an L arm and this was originally a double bass outfit. Check one of the floor tom leg brackets to see if it fits the holes as they were also used as L-arm brackets .
For $600 you did well. If you need the money you could definitely get that back and more! Congrats!
