John Grey & Sons Milwaukee 4x13 Wrap over Brass snare

Loading...

Heres another old snare I found on a Swap Meet down in Chile. Its a super rare Lavender pearl wrap OVER brass 4x13 John Grey "Milwaukee" snare drum. It has a very rare Lavender pearl wrap that changes depending on how the light touchs it. Its a very thin wielded brass shell with 8 brass tube lugs. One rod and one clip holder are missing. It has such an interesting strainer. Both heads are calfskins. I''d be willing to trade it for an interesting drum such as Asba,Hayman or stuff like that...

Thanks for the comment. Ive been hunting a lot over Areentina,Paraguay and Chile. (I wish I could do Brazil too). Theres plenty of British,Italian and French colonies there.

Back in the 50's Argentina had a HUGE economy and droves of european people taking vacations and many stood there because of the beauty of the country, the mild wheater, and the Tango!

I guess many instruments ended up on those distant shores...
